What to know About Newcastle University

Newcastle Institution (officially known as the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research institution in Newcastle, North-East England.
The university attributes its humble beginnings to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), founded in 1834, and the College of Physical Science (later called Armstrong College), established in 1871.
These two institutions merged to form one part of the federal University of Durham, while the Durham institutions formed another. In 1937, the Newcastle Colleges combined to establish King’s College.

Aim and Benefits of Newcastle University Undergraduate Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Newcastle University Undergraduate Scholarship is that each scholarship is valued at £20,000 or £10,000. You will get the scholarship in two parts:
Your International Foundation tuition fees will be deducted by £10,000 or £5,000, respectively.
£10,000 or £5,000 will be paid towards your Year 1 tuition expenses at Newcastle University
To get the second part of the scholarship, you must successfully complete a degree course at Newcastle University.

Requirements for Newcastle University Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To apply, you must already have an offer to study at INTO Newcastle University on one of our foundation programs.
The scholarships cover the following courses:
  • Architecture International Foundation
  • The Business and Management International Foundation
  • The Humanities and Social Sciences International Foundation
  • International Foundation for Science, Computing, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Biomedical, Biology, and Pharmacy International Foundation

2. Applicants must be resident in the United Kingdom at the time of their application for consideration under the scheme. Priority will be given to candidates from the North East of England.

3. Applicants must have filed for enrollment in a Newcastle University degree program. Advantage will be given to those seeking their first degree.
4. The expected grades must meet the degree’s entry requirements.
5. Applicants must meet the English language requirements for their course or have corresponding certifications showing English language ability.
If criterion 4 or 5 is not met due to a valid reason, personal circumstances will be considered.
6. Applicants must be unable to get standard funding, such as from Students. Funding in the UK or a local government grant.

Venue for Newcastle University Undergraduate Scholarship, Interview date, and Process

  • If you begin your course in September 2024, you must submit your application by June 30, 2024.
  • If you begin your study in January 2025, you must submit your application by November 30, 2024.

Application Deadline

Begins in September 2024 and continues for the rest of the student’s degree programme.
The deadline for applications is April 5th, 2024. No more applications for 2024 admission will be processed after this date.
