Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you should:

  • Be an International full-fee paying student.
  • Have completed Foundation Studies, Degree Transfer, Degree Transfer Extended, or a Pre-Master’s Program at the University Of Newcastle College Of International Education as part of a package offer to the university.
  • Begin an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program at the university. This excludes ELICOS, Enabling, Non-Award, Higher Degrees by Research, and quota-limited programs.

Not be eligible for a separate University scholarship unless the university has granted prior approval for a specific dispensation.

To receive your student visa, you must fulfill all of the financial obligations of a full-fee paying international student, including the entire tuition charge and other expenses.

The scholarship provides a 10% fee reduction for each year of continuing study under a full-time study, divided among all courses enrolled in.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, you must be enrolled in any year (including Honours) of an authorized health studies program at the University of Newcastle.

Enrolled either full-time or part-time.

Maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 or above throughout the scholarship period.
Be in financial necessity.

You may illustrate the impact of other educational disadvantages such as caregiver, lone parent, long-term medical condition/disability, ongoing impacts of abuse, regional/remote disadvantage, English language problem, Indigenous, or refugee status.

Each document file submit option allows for a maximum of three PDFs that are less than 5 MB in size.

A personal statement (about one A4 page) explaining your academic achievements, professional goals in the relevant field of study, and how this scholarship will benefit you.
This statement will cover any scholarships that you are applying for.

Benefit

  • The scholarship provides a maximum benefit of $15,000 over the full scholarship tenure.
  • You will receive $5000 each year, paid as installments of $2500 following semester one and two census dates, usually in April and September.
